Regulators and consumers are growing increasingly concerned about the amount of sensitive client data existing in company data base. This data often extends beyond traditional production databases, as it is replicated for use by the QA, development and other test environments. While several strategies exist for mitigating these information security risks, companies are increasingly adopting data masking strategies to obfuscate sensitive data. While data masking can significantly reduce information security risks, its implementation is tedious and will most certainly introduce other operational risks to the organization.
TowerGroup, the nation's leading financial research and advisory company, joins Headstrong, the security industry's leading IT services firm to discuss:
- Best practices to mitigate the implementation risks associated with data masking initiatives
- Executing Data Masking programs within existing SDLC and Release Management schedules
